Isma J. Rafiq
Isma J. Rafiq is a British artist and illustrator based in Yorkshire. Trained in accessory design at London College of Fashion and shaped by a career in fashion, including at Burberry, she makes work that is playful and quietly otherworldly: bold silhouettes, expressive form and a theatrical sensibility. Her two collections explore distinctly different worlds — the monochromatic, striped figures of Underwater Love and the luminous Majorelle blue, decorative ceramics and ghost-like cacti of My Jorelle Blues.
