The story
Sweet Misfit is inspired by the experience of feeling out of place in a world that often rewards sameness.
The seahorse, with its strange and delicate form, felt like the right symbol for that idea. The work is about learning to exist without shrinking yourself to fit — and recognising that the qualities that make someone feel like a misfit can also be the ones that make them most distinctive.
