The story
This artwork draws inspiration from the celebrated paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, whose depictions of Lakshmi remain among the most recognised images in Indian art. Fascinated by the beauty, symbolism and cultural significance of these works, Lohit reimagines the goddess through his distinctive kaleidoscopic process. By reflecting and repeating visual elements, he creates a composition that honours tradition while offering a fresh perspective. The result is a celebration of prosperity, beauty and the enduring power of cultural storytelling.
Supplied with a serialised Ivory & Ink certificate of authenticity and framed in the UK by a Guild Certified framer.
Inspired by Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of prosperity and good fortune, The Bloom of Fortune radiates abundance through colour, symmetry and intricate digital detail where lotus petals, ornamental forms and luminous patterns converge to create a work that feels both contemporary and timeless.
