The story
Captured in the forests surrounding Mangala Village in Karnataka, South India, Home reveals a rare moment of intimacy between a pair of Indian Paradise Flycatchers tending their nest. Between feeding trips and constant vigilance, the birds paused together for a fleeting moment, creating a scene of calm and cooperation. The photograph celebrates the universal themes of family, protection, and belonging, reminding us that the idea of home is shared across the natural world.
Supplied with a serialised Ivory & Ink certificate of authenticity and framed in the UK by a Guild Certified framer.
Home is a tender portrait of family life in the wild. Two Indian Paradise Flycatchers stand watch over their carefully constructed nest. The elegant composition highlights the delicate balance between beauty and responsibility, revealing a quieter side of the natural world. Renowned for their striking plumage and graceful movements, these remarkable birds are shown here not as performers of the forest canopy, but as devoted guardians of the next generation.
